WHY RITEMP?

60% of the most frequent problems occurring in production are caused by thermal factors!

diagram-b-sml
  • Conventional cooling relies on inefficient heat transfer though turbulent flow of water
  • Positioning of cooling lines is usually a compromise, resulting in substantial uneven temperatures
  • Hot spots- Mould is a cooling jig part of the cycle
  • Parts of the mould is too cold – Material flow hesitation.
  • Part distortion - Dimensional problems caused by uneven cooling (increased internal stress)
  • High energy cost due to requirements of high coolant pressure & flow to create turbulence.
  • Condensation
  • Multiple circuits to connect to compensate for heat in/out put rates.

About Ritemp™ Mould Cooling Technology

The patented technology simplifies

the design and manufacturing requirements of mould cooling

by replacing gun-drilled water lines with “cooling chambers” or water pockets that completely envelop mould-cooling surfaces. The chamber ensures even heat distribution without the engineering compromise often associated with conventional tooling. Through instantaneous change between liquid and vapour by applying the physics of latent heat at the chamber surfaces, the heat is removed quickly and efficiently.

The design uses heat exchangers to leverage this effect by condensing the vapour. The condensed fluid is recycled throughout the sealed chamber thus removing the need for a continuous water supply other than through the heat exchanger. Use of the Ritemp™ mould temperature controller automatically senses and adjusts water flow to regulate temperature levels.

The product is suitable for a wide range of applications including packaging, caps, and closures, medical devices, technical and automotive and has demonstrated productivity increases, including cycle time reductions of between 20-50%.
